Abstract

The influence of harvesting sorghum cv. CSV-4 at 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50 and 55 days after anthesis (DAA) on seed quality was assessed under rabi [winter] conditions of Hyderabad. Seed harvested at 35 DAA showed max. 100-seed weight and germinability, which when sun dried to a moisture of 10% and stored in polythene bags (400 gauge) could retain more than 80% viability for up to 13 months under ambient conditions at Hyderabad
