Abstract

Trials with rainfed sorghum cv. Vidisha showed that atrazine, cyanazine and simazine at 0.5 kg/ha pre-em. increased the plant ht. by 8.9, 7.3 and 5.8% and at 1 kg by 22.9, 18 and 15%, resp. The chlorophyll content was also increased with the 3 herbicides at 0.5 and 1 kg/ha. In comparison to weedy control, grain yield increased 20.1, 63.6 and 89.4% with atrazine, 15.7, 59.8 and 40.8% with cyanazine and 25, 57.8 and 71.8% with simazine, when each was applied at 0.5, 1 and 2 kg/ha, resp
