Abstract
Egg hatching and mortality of larvae (J2) were inversely proportional to extract concentration and exposure time. Larval mortality was highest in Launaea procumbens followed by Calotropis procera, Argemone mexicana and Parthenium hysterophorus. The lowest nematode population, highest plant growth was found in chick pea plants treated with leaves extract (50 g) in L. procumbens (72.6cm) followed by C. procera (67.5cm), A. mexicana (65.5cm) and P. hysterophorus (61.7 cm) under field conditions. Growth of chick pea was also increased with leaf extracts of plants. Nematode population in soil, in plant tissue and root-knot index were decreased with the application of leaves extracts.
