Abstract

Principal results of 4-yr lysimeter trials on different soils with various rates of pig slurry are reported. N uptake increased with increase in slurry rate and was highest in forage sorghum, medium in grain maize and lowest in wheat and grain sorghum, but soil type affected uptake. Percentage N recovery decreased markedly with increase in slurry rate
