In trials in the kharif [monsoon] seasons of 1976-8 with sorghum hybrid CSH-5 grown at a density of 111 111-222 222 plants/ha and given 0-150 kg N/ha, av. yields of grains and fodder [stover] were highest in crops grown at 148 148 plants/ha (45 X 15 cm) and given 100 kg N/ha
