Abstract

Root CEC increased in most of the sorghum cultivars till 60 days after planting and thereafter declined till maturity. The content of N was positively correlated with root CEC till plants attained 90 days age. Subsequently it showed negative correlation. A positive correlation was also recorded between root CEC and P and K content till 90 days, while there was correlation in Ca and Mg and root CEC at all growth stages
