Abstract
In trials in 1972-4 on farms under rain-fed conditions in Bijapur district in Karnataka with sorghum given 0-60 kg N, 0-60 kg P2O5 and 0-20 kg K2O/ha, application of 40 kg N/ha at sowing increased the grain yield by 34% (275 kg/ha) compared with controls. All other combinations of N, P and K were not remunerative
