Abstract

Sowing seeds of the male and female parents of sorghum hybrid CSH-5 for its seed production at 1-month intervals throughout the yr showed production of 50% flowers was earlier in the female line than in male line in crops sown in May, June, July and Aug., while it was earlier in the male line in crops sown in the remaining months. A regression analysis was made to predict the number of days to panicle initiation and to 50% flowering in both male and female lines in relation to weather factors
