Abstract

Hybrid-cv. trials consisted of 20 entries in April and 18 in July. Yield, CP content, date of flowering and ht. were recorded. In the April sowing, hybrid IV 72H92 gave the highest grain yield (8443 lb/ac) and a 4-yr av. placed Asgrow Double TX top with 7449 lb/ac. In the July sowing, DeKalb Br-57, IV 74H92, Meloland and Northrup King 4188 gave the highest yields of 6393, 5980, 5923 and 5829 lb/ac, resp. Dekalb Br-57 had the highest 4-yr av. of 6983 lb/ac
