Abstract
Grain yields of sorghum hybrid CSH-1 grown under rain-fed conditions in the kharif [monsoon] seasons of 1970-1 were increased linearly with increases in rates of applied N from 0 to 180 kg/ha and P2O5 rates from 0 to 60 kg/ha; yields were not further increased with 120 P2O5/ha. Crops showed no response to the application of 60-120 kg K2O/ha. The N X P interaction was significant. In 1971 the highest yield of 3.1 t/ha with 180 kg N + 120 kg P2O5/ha was not significantly different from 2.85 t obtained with 120 kg N + 60 kg P2O5/ha; yield without N or P was 0.64 + /ha
