Abstract
For periods of 6 days 5 women had a daily nitrogen intake of 7.5 g with 6.7 g from whole wheat flour and lysine-rich sorghum (LRS) (1:1 ratio of N), flour, LRS and Purdue normal sorghum, PNS (1:1:2), flour, Nigeria normal sorghum and LRS (14:3:3) and flour, PNS and navy bean flour (5:3:2). Daily balances were Ca 147, 158, 167 and 188, P 40, 611, 630 and 629, Mg 513, 640, 935 and 850, Fe 44, 61, 61 and 73, niacin 60, 40, 105 and 69, riboflavin 0.4, -0.1, 0.3 and 0.4 and folic acid 0.08, 0.20, 0.08 and 0.02 mg, respectively
