Abstract
Under conditions of soil moisture stress, higher fresh fodder yields were given by sorghum sown in rows 5 cm deep than when sown broadcast or in rows 2.5 or 7 cm deep, and when sown at 45 kg/ha than when sown at 30 or 60 kg/ha. The yield was highest (36.3 t/ha) in crops sown at 45 kg/ha in rows 5 cm deep and lowest (23.92 t) in those sown broadcast at 30 kg/ha. Yields of the broadcast sown crops increased from 23.92 to 32.8 t with increases in sowing rate from 30 to 60 kg/ha
