Abstract

Among 41 promising pigeonpea genotypes screened against Fusarium wilt disease under sick plot, 15 genotypes viz., GRG 818, GRG 822, GRG 2009, MA 6, RVSA 073, BSMR 736, BSMR 853, KPL 43, KPL 44, BRG 3, IPA 8F, IPA 204, ICP 8858, ICPL 87119 and ICP 8863 showed resistant reaction. In another set of 31 pigeonpea genotypes from ICRISAT, 28 genotypes viz., ICP 8863, ICP 20130, ICP 11298, ICP 20117, ICPL 20133, ICPL 20131, ICPL 20122, ICPL 99011, ICPL 20125, ICPL 20112, ICPL 99050, ICPL 99014, ICPL 99010, ICPL 99087, ICPL 20138, ICPL 20118, ICPL 99044, ICPL 20105, ICPL 20181, ICPL 20139, ICPL 20121, ICPL 20111, ICPL 99016, ICPL 20104, ICPL 99054, ICPL 14290, ICPL 99046, and ICPL 99088 showed resistant reaction against Fusarium wilt, Among 10 pigeonpea host differentials evaluated against Fusarium, six differentials viz., BDN 2, C 11, ICP 8858, ICP 9174, BRG 3 and ICP 8863 showed resistant reaction and indicated the presence of Fusarium udum variant -1 in Bangalore.
