Abstract

The nearly 1,200 reference considered for inclusion in this survery indicate a large increase in nigrogen fetrilizer research work during the past 15 years, especially in the slow- or controlled release field. these materials fall mainly into two broad categories: (1) Sparingly soluble comppunds preapred by chemical reaction and (2) coated soluble sources prepared by phycisla methods. Urea aldehyde condensate and oxamide are representative of the first category, and sulfur and polymer coasted urease are typical of the second.
