Abstract

Application of 40, 80 and 120 kg N/ha to rain-fed sorghum gave 2-yr av. grain yield of 2.45, 2.69 and 2.89 t/ha, resp., compared with 1.48 t without N. A density of 222 000, 148 000 or 111 000 plants/ha grown at a between-plant spacing of 15 cm in rows 30, 45 and 60 cm apart gave yields of 2.19, 2.59 and 2.36 t/ha, resp
