Abstract

In trials under rain-fed conditions in the rabi [winter] seasons of 1977-9 with sorghum given a basal dressing of 50 kg N + 25 kg P2O5/ha, top-dressing with 5 and 10 kg N/ha increased the av. grain yields from 2.89 to 3.2 and 3.36 t/ha, resp. The fodder [stover] yields increased linearly from 6.29 to 7.83 t/ha with increases in rates of the top-dressed N from 0 to 20 kg/ha
