Abstract
Feeding rats diets low in protein (Sbils et al., 1954, Harper, 1958, Sidransky, 1960; Deo and Ramalingaswami, 1960; Lyman et a1. 1964, Wikramanayake, 1966; Edozien, 1968; Enmonwu, and Sreebny, 1970), deficient in single essential amino acids (Samuels, et al., 1951; Sidransky and Verney, 1964; Wilfred and Sekharvarma, 1969) or with amino acid ibalances (Singal et al., 1953a, Yoshida and Herper, 1960; Ogura ct al., 1971) have been shown to result in an incrcased accumulation of triglycerides and changes in the metabolism of cholesterol and phospholipids in the liver...
