Abstract
The contents of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, calcium and magnesium in the different organs and whole plant of Robusta banana at various stages in the life cycle are given. The variations in uptake, distribution and redistribution of nutrients during the growth cycle of plants at several locations where soil properties and fertilizer practices differed are explained in terms of site factors. In the areas studied it was concluded that potassium nutrition was the main limiting factor for high yields.
