Abstract
The hill soils of North Mississippi are not as well adapted to the production of corn for silage as are some elf the other soils in the state For thig reason, many dalrymeli in thts area have had to lotrk to other forage sources for their dairy animals. Intermediate type sorghum silage has been used for many yeurs as a feed for dry cows and heifers and has been used frequently as the sole forage Rource for lactating animals on many dairy farms
