Abstract

Thirty-nine isolates of P. drechsleri f. sp. cajani from different locations in Uttar Pradesh, India, were classified based on morphological and cultural variability. Based on morphology, radial growth, colony colour and mycelium characters, the isolates were categorized into 6 groups, i.e. fast-growing cottony white (6 isolates), fast-growing creamy white (10 isolates), moderately-fast-growing cottony white (6 isolates), moderately-fast-growing creamy white (12 isolates), slow-growing cottony white (3 isolates) and slow-growing creamy white (2 isolates).
