Abstract

In field-plot tests at Vallabhnagar, Udaipur, India, in 1973 on the effectiveness of in-furrow applications of 5 systemic insecticides and 1 fungicide alone or in combination with NPK (100:60:60) fertiliser for the control of Atherigona soccata Rond. on sorghum seedlings, all the insecticides were compatible with the fertiliser. The treatments did not adversely affect germination or growth of seedlings. The percentage of dead hearts showed that carbofuran gave the best control of the fly
