Abstract
Grain sorghum was fertilized with combinations of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. The plots were split for the 1988 harvest year and each half fertilized with urea or ammonium nitrate source of nitrogen. No significant difference between nitrogen sources could be measured. Within the limits of the amount of fertilizer applied experimentally the 80-90-40 (N, Pa O5 and %O) treatment produced 'the best yield of OK 612 grain sorghum in 1968 (see Table 29). R. S. 610 sorghum was harvested i n 1962 and 1963. No data was obtained in 1964 from R. S. 610 because of a severe charcoal rot. OK 612 has been used since 1964. Note especially the high initial response to applied nitrogen and phosphorus. The response to initial nitrogen application is becoming very large
