Abstract

In the mal land (lower upland) during the rabi (dry) season of 1969-70, on loamy sand soil, the yield of grain and fodder, effective ears per ha, plant height, ear-length, weight of grains per plant and thousand grain weight increased with increasing rates of nitrogen. The grain yield response per kg of N was highest at 150 kg N/ha
