Abstract

In trials in 1964-7, foliar sprays of 0.5% Zn or Mn salt solutions at 1000 1/ha applied at the knee-high stage to sorghum given a basal dressing of 44.8 kg N + 67.2 kg P2O5 + 33.6 kg K2O/ha resulted in average grain yields of 0.9 and 0.83 t/ha, respectively, compared with 0.79 t/ha on plots given the basal dressing alone and 0.38 t/ha on those given no fertilizer or microelements.
