Abstract
In trials during the summer rainy seasons of 1968 and '69, sorghum cv. Vidisha 60-1, CSH 1, and Ujjain 6 were given 0, 40, 80 or 120 kg N/ha. Increase in rates of N increased plant height, length and width of ears, weight of ears/plant, 1000-grain weight and grain yields. Vidisha 60-1 gave the highest grain yields, 4.8 t in 1968 and 4.09 t/ha in 1969.
