Abstract
In a trial during 2 years plants of dwarf sorghum hybrid RS 610 grown 10, 20 or 30 cm apart in rows 50 cm apart, were given ail combinations of 0, 50 or 100 kg N/ha and 0, 50 or 100 kg P2O5/ha. Application of 100 kg N/ha resulted in early emergence of panicles and a higher number of ears/plant compared with controls given no fertilizer. A within-row spacing of 30 cm resulted in earlier maturity and more panicles/ plot than a 10-cm spacing. JA.
