Abstract

There are a number of serious insect pests of sorghum in Hawaii. Among these are the sorghum midge, Contarinia sorghicola (Coq.); corn leaf aphid, Rhopalosiphum maidis (Fitch); narrow-winged katydid, Elimaea punctifera (Walker); Christmas berry webworm. Crvptoblabes aliena Swezey; and the Chinese rose beetle, Adoretus sinicr~s Burmeister.
