Abstract

Because the use of chlorinated hydrocarbons for soil insect control has been banned. Organophosphates and carbarnates were tested for wireworm, Aeolus melillus (Say), control in grain sorghum. Soil treatments of thiofanox. dasanit and carbofuran were more effective in controlling wireworms in gain sorghum than were disulfoton, aldicarb, phorate or a one-to-one combination of disulfoton-dasanit
