Abstract

Grain sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L. Moench), commonly referred to as milo, is an important feed grain in Mississippi. Mississippi imports about 50,000,000 bushels of this and other grains annually. Grain sorghum yields compare favorably with corn in both quantity and quality, and low production costs for sorghum combined with its drought tolerance make it attractive to growers, particularly in a douhle crop system following early small grains...
