Abstract

Preplant or preemergence applications of Milogard at 2 to 3 pounds per acre of active ingredient gave effective control of watergrass in sorghum during a three-year study period. A combination of Milogard applied preplant at 2 to 3 pounds per acre followed by preemergence application of 1 to 2 pounds per acre was the most effective treatment evaluated. Single applications of Igran, Milogard combined with Lorox, and Ramrod mixed with Milogard gave outstanding watergrass control early but allowed the grass to grow late in the season. However, this growth was not usually detrimental to grain yield
