Abstract

The field experiment conducted to study the effect of weed competition on growth, yield, nutrient uptake and seed protein content of grain sorghum (Var.-CSH-1) showed highly significant negative correlation between (i) dry matter accumulation by weeds and dry matter production of crop, (ii) uptake of N P K by weeds and the uptake of N P K by the crop, (iii) dry weight of weeds and seed yield of crop and (iv) uptake of N by weeds and seed protein yield of sorghum
