Abstract

Summarized results are given of herbicide evaluations in grain sorghum on silty clay loam soil at 2 locations in Nebraska during 1975. At both sites, pre-em. herbicides performed better than post-em. treatments. At one site, where the plots were irrigated several mixtures with propachlor at 2.7 kg/ha performed well; terbutryne 2.2 kg + atrazine 0.9 kg was better against grasses than either component alone. At the other site, where there was severe moisture stress, most of the treatments exhibited sufficient persistence to reduce top growth of wheat and soybeans in glasshouse bioassays
