Abstract

Field studies were carried out in Hyderabad to screen part of the sorghum germplasm for tolerance of propazine. Out of 528 lines tested, 43 were found tolerant to pre-em. application thus indicating that varietal and genotypical differences to propazine tolerance do exist in sorghum. Caffrorum-Birdproof and Caffrorum/Feterita groups contributed 12 of these tolerant lines out of 13 tested. The practical significance of these results is discussed
