Abstract

Ten sorghum genotypes were screened during early kharif and during late kharif 1970 on a red sandy loam soil for tolerance to pre-em. application of 2,4-D at 1 kg, dicamba[-dimethylamine] 1.5 litres and atrazine 4 kg a.i./ha. Germination in the genotypes D-340, IS-3691 and MSCK-60 was affected more than in other genotypes. Differences of individual genotypes in germination, survival and seedling vigour are discussed with regard to herbicide response. CSH-2 was the only genotype which showed some tolerance to atrazine
