Abstract
A trial was carried out on black clay loam soil with sorghum hybrids CSH-3 (dwarf, 105 cm tall) and Kovilpatti tall (MS-2219A X IS 3541, 220 cm tall) sown at 2 seed rates with rectangular, square and triangular sowing patterns. Kovilpatti checked weed growth more than the small CSH-3 especially at the high seed rate. Square and triangular sowing patterns with narrow rows had significantly less weed growth than the rectangular sowing pattern
