Abstract
In 1966-9, sorghum hybrid CSH-1 was given combinations of 50, 100 or 150 kg N/ha, 0, 37.5 or 75 kg P/ha and 0, 25 or 50 kg K/ha when grown in a medium black soil. Mean annual grain yield increased from 3.71 t/ha with 50 kg N/ha to 3.92 t with 150 kg N/ha. Panicle weight, grain weight and number of grains/panicle were increased and peduncle length decreased with increased N application. 1000-grain weight was not affected by peduncle length or NPK treatment. P and K application did not significantly affect yield. There was no interaction between N, P or K
