Abstract

In 1968-69 and 1969-70, the residual effect of triple superphosphate on the yield of wheat grain was greater than the residual effects of rock phosphate, mixtures of triple superphosphate and rock phosphate, a 1:3 mixture of triple superphoshate + dicalcium phosphate, and nitrophosphate. The correlation coefficient between the content of available P (extractable by 0.5 M NaHCO3) in the soil after the preceding sorghum harvest and the yield of wheat grain was 0.98 in 1968-69 and 0.76 in 1969-70
