Abstract

Grain yield responses of jowar [sorghum], bajra [Pennisetum americanum] and maize in the kharif [summer monsoon] season and wheat and barley in the rabi [winter] season to 30 and 60 kg N/ha under rain-fed conditions at 3 locations in Madhya Pradesh are described. The effectiveness of N applied to the soil or in 2 split dressings to the soil and as a foliar spray was similar
