Abstract

Sessile florets of Sorghum subglabrescens with normal floral parts in the upper whorls of the abnormal panicle were emasculated and pollinated by the normal CO4 strain. Genetical analysis showed that the abnormal panicle condition behaves as a simple monogenic recessive to the normal and the designation bct is proposed for the gene conditioning the abnormal condition
