Abstract
Twenty sorghum varieties were germinated in a red soil amended with salt (NaCl:CaCl2 1:1) at concentrations of 1000 to 5000 ppm. Reductions in both germination percentage and shoot length were pronounced and revealed the differential tolerance of the varieties
