Abstract
Partial and complete removal of the primary roots of hybrid sorghum cv. Texas 610 seedlings grown in Hoagland solution caused no difference in growth from those of the untreated control after 36 days, although differences were found after 21 days. It was concluded that a vigorous primary seminal root was not essential for normal plant growth in hybrid sorghum
