Abstract

Root growth in seedlings of sorghum cv. CS-3541 was inhibited by 100 p.p.m. GA. MnCl2 reversed this inhibition; it stimulated root growth when applied alone or after inhibition. It was concluded that the results were concordant with the hypothesis that GA action is auxin-mediated and that the oxidation product of auxin is essential for its physiological activity
