Abstract
An adequate supply of available phosphorus in the soil tends to decrease the cyanide content of plant ( Boyd el a1 1938 ) which means that the level of available forni of phocphorus in the soil is very important in deciding its effect on HCN content of plant. Since different forms of P-carriers vary in their performance, the role of phosphorus in relation to HCV synthesis in plants needs detai!ed consideration. Studies were therefore undertoken to find out the relative erect of phosphorils on HCN content of Jowar plants, when applied in dicerent forms
