The research project was initiated at the University of Peshawar with the object to observe the effect of colchicine on morphological characters of Surghum (Sorghum vulgare (Pers.). The aqueous colchicine solutions of 0.05.0.10 and 0 15 percent concentrations were applled to the seedlings for 4.8. 16.24. and 36 hours durations. In all the treatments varients were found having colchicine tumors; stem thicknes, 100-kernal weight, plant height and cob-length were reduced.
