Abstract
In a field experiment in the savanna zone of Nigeria, the response of maize, sorghum, cotton and groundnut to N, K, lime and micronutrients under continuous cultivation was studied. Grain yields of maize were increased by N and K in all years, while sorghum showed no response to fertilizers. Cotton responded to K in all years, and to N in three out of four years.
