Abstract

Studies on relative efficacy of Trichogramma chilonis and Trichogramma brasiliensis alone and combination with endosulfan on chickpea and pigeonpea for the control of Helicoverpa armigera Hübner revealed no significant differences among the parasitization, observed in different treatments. Maximum parasitization of 10.6% was observed in both chickpea and pigeonpea, when T. chilonis @ 50,000/ha+endosulfan @ 350 gm a.i was applied, whereas, minimum parasitization 2.5% and 5.0% by T. chilonis @ 50,000/ha was observed in chickpea and pigeonpea, respectively. The mean percent parasitization of eggs of H. armigera by Trichogramma brasiliensis was 6.7% and 7.6% on chickpea and pigeonpea, respectively, which was very low to control the H. armigera to reach EIL.
