Abstract

Calluses were initiated from immature embryos, mature seeds, mesocotyls, leaves or stem segments of Panicum miliaceum when given either 2,4-D or 2,4,5-T. Callus from light grown seeds developed better than that from dark grown seeds, although dark grown seeds or embryos produced embryogenic callus at 1st culture. Shoots developed on 32% of the embryogenic cultures after 24 wk
