Abstract
When leaves of Eleusine coracana were treated in water at 55 deg C for 10 or 15 s before inoculation, both P. oryzae and P. [Magnaporthe] grisea were pathogenic. The induced susceptibility was manifested by the presence of sporulating lesions and by the increased size of necrotic lesions. The phenomena associated with heat-induced susceptibility disappeared within 24-48 h after treatment
