Abstract
The sorghum earhead midge, Contarinia sorghicola, Coq. (Cecidomyiidae: Diptera), in recent years has assumed the status of a serious pest on sorghum. This pest has caused near famine conditions in 1970 in Vidarbha and Marathwada regions due to its heavy incidence on sorghum crop.
