Abstract
The sorghum earhead midge, Contarinia sorghicola, Coq. (Cecidomyiidae: Diptera), in recent years has assumed the status of a serious pest on sorghum. This pest has caused near famine conditions in 1970 in Vidarbha and Marathwada regions due to its heavy incidence on sorghum crop. In the absence of any sound recommendations for its control a trial was laid out at the farm of Agriculture College, Nagpur to test the efficacy of some of the most common dusts formulations against this pest...
