Abstract

The effectiveness of 2 and 3 leaf-whorl applications of granules containing carbofuran, quinalphos and endosulfan for the control of stem-boring larvae of Chilo partellus (Swinh.) on the sorghum hybrid CSH. 5 and the variety 148 was determined in field-plot tests at Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India, during the summer of 1975. Treatment with all 3 insecticides gave effective control on both varieties
